Day 1. BARCELONA/ZARAGOZA/SAN SEBASTIAN
Departure from Barcelona at 08.00 in the morning towards Zaragoza. On your way you will pass through ancient cities Lleida and Zaragoza. Lleida is one of the oldest towns in Catalonia, with recorded settlements dating back to the Bronze Age period. In Zaragoza you will have free time to visit the local sights such as the impressive Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar or the bridge Puente de Piedra’. Later continuation to San Sebastian.

Day 2. SAN SEBASTIAN/BILBAO/SANTANDER/SANTILLANA/TORRELAVEGA

Breakfast. Departure to Bilbao, where you will have a brief panoramic tour to admire the Guggenheim Museum building. The Guggenheim is a museum of modern and contemporary art, designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry. Although it has a very impressive collection of art, some might say that it is more famous for its architecture than its content. Later continuation to Santander, where you can admire its long sandy beautiful beaches, for example – Playa de la Magdalena and El Sardinero – a historic city center. Of course, there are plenty of gorgeous Gothic buildings, including the main Cathedral, that surely will impress and inspire you. Later in the afternoon departure towards Santillana del Mar, – a small village, that is considered one of the most ancient in the whole Spain. After a short stop in Santillana del Mar you will continue to Torrelavega.

Day 3. TORRELAVEGA/COVADONGA/OVIEDO

Breakfast. Departure towards Covadonga. On your way to you will pass National Park ‘Picos de Europa’ – one of the best well-preserved parks in the world, with truly breathtaking views along the way. Once you reach Covadonga, there is some free time to explore the Santa Cueva de Covadonga (the ‘Holy Cave of Covadonga’), which is a Catholic sanctuary inside the cave. The meaning of ‘Covadonga’ is derived from the Latin ‘Cova Dominica’, which means ‘Cave of the Lady’, because the place is dedicated to the cult of the Virgin of Covadonga. Afterwards continuation to Oviedo.

Day 4. OVIEDO/GIJON/LUGO

Breakfast. Departure to Gijon – a place by the sea, the largest city and municipality in the autonomous community of Asturias. Gijon takes great care in conserving its recreational and green spaces. The city’s central plazas, such as those of San Miguel, San Agustín, Europa, Begoña; and the peaceful gardens, such as the Isabel La Católica Park, the ´English´ Park, the ´Pericones´, the ´Rinconín´ make this city look green, welcoming and peaceful. After a short panoramic tour you will continue towards Lugo. On your way you will pass typical Northern Spanish villages Luarca and Ribadeo. Arrival in Lugo.

Day 5. LUGO/A CORUÑA

Breakfast. Departure to A Coruna. A Coruna is a port city, a beachy hot spot and cruise-ship destination; a busy commercial center and a cultural enclave; a historic city and a modern metropolis with a buzzing nightlife. All in all, it is a very intriguing place to discover. After a short tour through the city you will have free time to explore it on your own. Here we offer an optional excursion to visit the villages Pontedeume and Betanzos – well-preserved historical villages in the area.

Day 6. A CORUÑA/SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA
Breakfast. Departure towards Santiago de Compostela. The City is a very important pilgrimage center and the capital of the autonomous community of Galicia. Locals say the arcaded, stone streets of Santiago de Compostela are at their most beautiful in the rain, when the old city glistens. Most would agree, however, that it’s hard to catch Santiago in a bad pose. Whether you’re wandering the medieval streets of the old city, nibbling on tapas in the taverns, or gazing down at the rooftops from the top of a cathedral, Santiago seduces. Upon arrival you will join a city tour to discover all its beautiful sights such as the Plaza de Obradoiro or the main Cathedral. Free time in the afternoon.

Day 7. SANTIAGO DE COMPOSTELA/RIAS BAIXAS/VIGO
Breakfast. Departure towards the region of the Rias Bajas. The ´Rias Bajas´, which stands for ‘lower rivers’, are a series of four estuarine inlets located on the southwestern coast of Galicia. Some spectacular views along the way, – Isla de la Toja, the Ria de Arosa or Pontevedra. In the afternoon you can take part in an optional excursion to Santa Tecla and Valenca Domino, where you will cross the border and actually visit Portugal. Later continuation to Vigo.

Day 8. VIGO/SALAMANCA/MADRID
Breakfast. On the last day of this tour you will leave Vigo behind and make your way towards Salamanca. Whether floodlit by night or bathed in the sunset, there’s something magical about Salamanca. This is a city of rare beauty, awash with golden sandstone overlaid with ochre-tinted Latin inscriptions and an extraordinary virtuosity of ´plateresque´ (typical Spanish arquitecture style). After a short stop in Salamanca to visit the old town and its famous Plaza Mayor, you will continue to the Capital.
Arrival to Madrid and end of services.
