The Palace of Charles V, built by Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor in 1527, was inserted in the Alhambra within the Nasrid fortifications. The Alhambra is now one of Spain’s major tourist attractions, exhibiting the country’s most significant and well known Arab-Islamic architecture, together with 16th-century and later Christian building and garden interventions. Built and rebuilt from the early Middle Ages right up to our times, it consists of a group of palatial buildings and extensive gardens.
Plaza de España, is a square located in the Parque de María Luisa, built in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It is a landmark example of theRenaissance Revival style in Spanish architecture. Today the Plaza de España mainly consists of Government buildings.
